First Time Solo Trip to Italy and Itinerary [24M]
Hi all,
So in May I have my first ever solo trip coming up and wanted to sound out my plan and fully open to advice as I am a newbie to this. I've tried searching different aspects but apologies if alot of this has been covered elsewhere.
I guess this is probably a little long winded but what I've seen is that I probably don't need to long in Milan so cut a day out and going to spend that in Como etc.
Day 1: London to Paris via EuroStar onwards to Milan
Day 2: Explore Milan then to Lake Como via Train
Day 3: Explore Lake Como
Day 4: Explore Como and onwards to meet a friend in Verona
Day 5: Explore Verona
Day 6: Head back to Milan via Train then back to London.
As I'm going to be travelling via EuroStar and then the train, is it worth getting a Youth Interrail Pass for the 6 Days? Or booking separately for each trip
Also, am I better off booking hotels over hostels if I'm not looking for the full backpack experience?
And finally, my Italian is very basic (Thanks Duolingo), can I get around with it here and there? I hate to be that person who expects others to speak English when I'm in their country but so far I can only ask of their cat drinks milk.
Thanks in advance for any tips and advice!
