First Time Solo Traveler Going to Italy, Need Help Planning Italy
Like this Title says. This is my first time solo traveling and going to Europe period. I leave for Italy this Friday 3/8 and come back 3/19. This was kind of a spontaneous flight I bought so the planning is kind of coming down to the wire here. This is what I originally planned on doing:
3/9: Arrive in Rome and settle in explore the city
3/10: Further explore city, no plans for this day yet
3/11: Vatican tour followed hopefully by a Roma football match. I havent bought the Roma tickets yet
3/12: Colosseum tour - After take a train to Florence
3/13: Explore Florence no set plans
3/14: Florence
3/15 - 3/18: this is where I have encountered a problem. I was planning on spending 4 nights in Positano and just hanging out, exploring and relaxing. I have just read that the Amalfi coast is pretty much shut down till after Easter, like only one restaurant is open. Also the weather honestly doesnt look the greatest for what I planned on doing down there, which was hopefully chilling on the beach for a bit.
3/19: Plan leaves Rome
Now I need some advice on what to do here. Am i getting bad info on the Amalfi coast this time of the year? Will i be fine there?
Or should I go somewhere else?
I was thinking 3/15: spend the night in Sienna and then head up to Venice for 2 nights. Does this sound like a good plan?
Any other advice, places to see, anything at all would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
