End of 1-month Europe trip: Balkans or Portugal?

Planning my first solo trip (1 month in June-July) and would love some guidance in deciding between two different routes! I'm definitely starting off with Prague > Vienna > Budapest > Ljubljana. After that, I'm stuck between doing a little Balkans jaunt (Sarajevo > Mostar > Split), or just hopping over to Portugal (Lisbon > Lagos > Porto, exact order TBD). My initial plan was to do the Balkans route, until I saw some real beautiful photos of Portugal.

FWIW I like nature (beaches, hikes, etc.), architecture, walking around, history, and museums/cultural stuff. Flying home from either location would be around equal price.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)
