10 days in New York
I’m planning a trip to New York in July. It will be my first time in New York, so will be doing mostly the tourist stuff. I am thinking about doing 7 nights in NY and 2 nights in Washington.
My to do list is loosely something like this:
Day 1: Museum of Natural history, Times Square
Day 2: Staten Island ferry, Central Park
Day 3: Intrepid Museum, MoMA
Day 4: The Met, Top of the Rock
Day 5: World Trade memorial, Maybe a Broadway show
Day 6: Brooklyn Bridge
Day 7: Bus to DC
Day 8: The mall
Day 9: Bus to NY, plane home
I have a few questions:

Do I need to prebook anything beforehand? (except for bus ticket)

My plan is the take the bus (Megabus) early from DC (10 am) to NY and hopefully get to the airport in time for an evening flight. Can I rely on the bus? Or should I take another night in NY to be sure.

How does the itinerary look? Too many/few days?
Tips and recommendations are welcome – It will be my first time in the US.
