Planning an 11 day trip! From Chicago to Istanbul to Budapest to Dublin to Reykjavik

Budapest is the driving decision around this trip, it's been on my mind to visit for a while. The other cities are mostly opportunities along the way. Istanbul is actually just a 20 hour layover from Chicago to Budapest so I will only be staying there 1 night. I have the opportunity to drop it if it feels like a lot but I figured it would be a nice opportunity to see it, even if it's only for a night.

I threw Reykjavik in there because flights from Dublin to Chicago make no sense (there's a layover in Istanbul) But Dublin to Reykjavik are short and cheap! And Reykjavik to Chicago is a common one. Plus I'd love to see the blue lagoon, even if it's a tourist trap.

I'd love to hear your suggestions or recommendations. I'm shopping for flights through my chase rewards portal (yay points!) so that might be why some of the flights seemed bizarre. But I'm thinking of spending 2 to 3 nights in each city.
