Need advice on Guatemala 10-day itinerary
Hey guys, girlfriend and I are traveling to Guatemala in a couple of weeks and had a few questions about how much to time to spend where
15th
- Arrive at noon in Guatemala City, 1 hour shuttle to Antigua
16th/17th (Antigua)
- Volcan Acatenango hike
18th
- Shuttle from Antigua to Lake Atitlan
19th/20th/21st
- Do stuff around Lake Atitlan
22nd
- Take a night shuttle and arrive in Flores in the morning
- Tikal day trip
23rd
- Flores → Semuc Champey
24th
- Shuttle from Semuc Champey to Guatemala City
- Fly home at 7 PM
Questions:
- Should we spend a second night in Antigua before doing the 2 day Acatenango hike?
- Should we spend more time in Antigua and less time around Lake Atitlan, and how come?
- What exactly does the route look like if we want to get from Lake Atitlan to Flores/Tikal?
- Should we be spending the night in Flores or Tikal? Is there anything to do/see in Flores?
- Should we be spending the night in Semuc Champey or Lanquin?
