Americana Stops (Diners, Motels, Landmarks, etc.) along TX, NM, AZ, NV, CA & OR (especially US-101).
My boyfriend and I are planning a roadtrip from Colorado, down through the southwest, and then up to Oregon. We will be travelling with our two dogs, so any pet friendly recommendations would be awesome. We're going to be doing lots of camping and sightseeing and wanted some recommendations on cool places to stop. Really, anything with a classic americana vibe.
- Diners, motels, landmarks, gas stations, cool nature areas, ghost towns, gift shops, local food, markets, old movie theatres, alien related, old cars, ice cream shoppes, parks, lo-key beaches, etc....
And just any tips in general or favorite parts from your travels in those areas.
We'll be hitting Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, California, and Oregon. A huge part of California and Oregon will be on US-101, especially.
