Making a solo trip from a group trip
This is kind of a fine line between solo travel and travel in general. So bear with me
I am headed to a destination with 6 other friends (close friends) in the spring. We will be staying in an AirBnB together for 9 days, and we are staying in one city for the whole time.
I've made about 4 trips by myself in the past 2 years, and always stay in hostels. So this whole traveling with others thing is pretty new for me.
I would love to just take two days by myself and go to another place by myself. 9 days is a long time with people in a different place, and I figured I might as well make the most of being abroad already! Budget airlines woohoo!! Plus 9 days is a long time in one city.
I think this is fine, but I've heard from others that this might be considered rude.
I would still pay for the AirBnB we bought together.
What do you all think? Is this rude? Or just something they may have to get over?
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts!!
