Looking for A Cool Small Italian Town/City Reachable From Rome or Naples
Hi all,
I'm changing plans last minute. I was originally going to do 2 weeks in Rome, but a last-minute airbnb cancellation is having me reconsider.
I booked a hostel in Rome for 5 nights, but am now thinking I want to go somewhere else in Italy for 5-8 nights.
About me: I'm a working writer who puts in 4-6 hour work days as I travel. I like to take it slow, and am happy being in a nice place. I don't feel the need to cram in a lot of slights or activities. I do like to hike, however.
I'm thinking maybe a smaller town/city would be interesting.
What I'm looking for:
-somewhere fairly cheap (this is the off season, so maybe easier to find this than normal) -somewhere I could get to from Rome inexpensively and within maybe 6 hours. -somewhere kind of slow-paced, but still interesting. -Pretty buildings/nice nature.
