Hostel dormitories
Almost every week there seems to be some nightmare hostel dormitory situation posted in this forum. I know hostel dormitories are cheaper, I know hostels themselves are good for social interactions (common areas, kitchens, organised activities), and I know hostels also have various sized dorms (as well as private rooms). But my question is: Does anyone like sleeping in dormitories? If not, do you just endure because you need to save money or because you want the social atmosphere? Maybe most people just view the dorm as a place to crash and it's not worth spending more on a guesthouse or hotel.
