Help! Good ideas for weekend trips from Beijing for this weekend?

Hi guys! I’m a student currently studying in Tianjin (city next to Beijing) and I’ve realised I have a 4 day break until the new semester begins on Monday. I’ve travelled a decent amount around China alone but not much in the north. This is my last period of free time (that isn’t during a public holiday) until I leave China for good so I want to travel tomorrow/Friday for the weekend.

My only rules are that I’m on a student budget and I need to be back Monday for class. Basically somewhere with hostels (preferably where I could meet other travellers) and where the train won’t take up half of my time. I considered Nanjing but it’s a little far.

Can anyone suggest anywhere? Will cross post to /r/chinatravel too but I will be travelling alone so figured I’d ask here.
