First time solo travelling. Any advice for my 21 day trip to Australia?
I'm leaving for my first solo trip in 2 weeks to Australia. This is basically a teaser trip for me, as I plan to eventually move to Australia for a year. I basically want to see as much as possible to help make a decision about where I'd like to start next time.
My current itinerary is:
-Round trip from Van>Sydney, with a connecting flight straight to Melbourne. Arriving on the 21st.
-Spending 4 days in Melbourne before flying out to Christchurch, NZ, on the 25th. Doing a 7 day tour there around the south island.
-Flying out from Christchurch on March 5th, to Brisbane.
-Rent a car in Brisbane/Gold Coast and Drive to Sydney, where my flight home is on the 14th.
I know a lot of this is tight, and I would have loved more time in Melbourne, but this is the way it is.
I would love to hear any tips you all have about what to do/what not to do, things to check out, ways to save money and what's worth spending money on. Thanks!
