First solo trip in Europe in August, looking for help finalizing the last destinations

I'm finally going on my first solo trip in August. I've finalized the beginning of the trip, but still need help on the 2nd half. Any help or advice from those that have done this before would be appreciated! 1st half confirmed: * London (flight in, 3 days) * Paris (4 days) * Bruges (2 days) * Amsterdam (3 days) * Berlin (4 days) * Prague (4 days)

After Prague I have some ideas - I've heard fantastic things about Budapest, but would to spend some time in Italy (Genoa, Milan, Tuscany?) and Switzerland (Zermatt for hiking?) before ending my trip in the following locations:

  • Buñol (1 day, La Tomatina!!)
  • Lisbon (3 days, flight out)

My question - does anyone have recommendations around traveling between Budapest / Italy / Switzerland? I know it will be peak / right at the end of the tourist season, so I'm planning on avoiding large cities like Rome.
