Fear of being in a natural disaster

Hello you lovely people. Last summer I went on my first solo trip to Thailand and Indonesia and I loved it. However, towards the end of the trip I unfortunately was in the Lombok magnitude 7 earthquake which occurred in August. It was the most terrifying experience of my life and accepting my own death, solo and far from home was especially difficult.

Luckily I was in the right place at the right time and survived, although had I been stood somewhere else it could be a very different story. Anyway I took many life lessons from the experience and appreciate being here more than ever. The problem is though, it kind of popped a safety bubble I previously felt in life. I live in the UK, I'm pretty safe from any dangerous earthquakes yet even now, occasionally when I hear a loud bang, for a second I jump and assume the worst. I've accepted I probably won't shake this feeling for a long time and that's alright, but..

I want to solo travel again soon, I've saved up some money recently and would love to go to Vietnam and more of SEA as well as Australia. I can't help but feel scared of the prospect of another earthquake over in SEA or any resulting tsunamis. I'm scared I'm going to spend the whole time constantly on guard and uncomfortable just expecting the worst. I don't want to feel this way. I want to relax and enjoy the experience fully. But I can't seem to get that safety bubble back. Natural disasters never were a concern before but now the fear seems to be holding me back slightly.

I guess I'm just wondering if you have any insight or advice. Thank you. Have a great day

TL;DR: Was in a major earthquake last summer on first solo trip and fear of another one is holding me back from booking second trip soon
