Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about taking a 7 - 10 day trip to Costa Rica sometime this year and haven't been before. I would fly into San Jose and would ideally like to focus on a few locations as opposed to skipping all over the country for short durations. I'm not particularly interested in sight seeing when I travel, just the culture and experiences of being there (a bit of novice surfing perhaps). Is San Jose worth spending a few days in?

What part/parts of the country should I make my way to after San Jose for the rest of my trip?
