16 Day Itinerary Help - England/Scotland/Ireland
Hello,
Planning a last second trip to do England, Scotland and Ireland (Just for St. Patrick's day per friend's request.) Fly in to London March 3rd at 7AM and then leaving back on the afternoon of March 19th. Not sure how many days to stay in each place but just want a rough idea of route. I don't mind renting a car as a friend may join. Someone suggested to rent car in Oxford.
London - 2-3 nights
Oxford - 2-3 nights (Want to see Stonehenge, Highclere Castle (Darn, closed in March for this) and 1-2 villages at Cotswold. Perhaps rent a car here?)
Bath - 1-2 nights?
Leeds - 1-2?
York - 1-2?
Edinburg - 1-2?
Loch Ness - 1
Islay - 1-3? (I love scotch from this area!)
Dublin - 2 (Plan to be here on 17th then perhaps fly back to London to catch flight for 19th)
Does this seem realistic? Is there any places I should skip out on or go for sure? Should I rent a car from Oxford and drop off somewhere when I am done with Scotland and fly into Dublin? Sad as you can see have not planned much. Anything else in Scotland worth, or maybe skip out on some places in England to check out more of Scotland?
Thanks!
Edit: I just sort of want to "wing" the trip but having a rough idea of where to go is helpful.
