Hey, I'm a solo traveler to-be. I've been planning to go to the USA - specifically the northwest region - either this summer or the next one, or possibly during the winter next year. Flying from Europe, the tickets themselves are quite expensive, but excluding them I'm wondering how much money I should be saving for all of the expenses I may encounter - I've never been to the US before so I have no idea what to expect! I have a rough idea which places I definitely want to visit, but at the same time I want to be able to move as spontaneously as possible - so I'm wondering how much does inter-city and inter-state transportation cost? I also hope to be using couchsurfing as much as possible - how viable is that? Finally, I don't care too much about the cuisine etc. and I am totally fine eating bread and butter for my entire stay there. I'm also pretty good at counting all of my expenses down to the last penny so I'm not much of a spender. Considering all of this, how much would you recommend me to save for the trip? I've tried looking for similar info online but I couldn't find anything for a proper 'budget' trip. Thanks!
