Traveling alone for the first time in years
I’m from CA and am traveling for a week to Alabama and also Atlanta for work. I finished work yesterday and am on my fourth day in. The rest of this time is for relaxation/fun. I’m currently in Atlanta and I’m starting to feel a bit lonely.
I’m 25 and I have a fiancé at home currently in college working on her credential. We talk on the phone and stuff but I really want to make the most of being out here and seeing as much as I can, not laying in my hotel on the phone.
I went to a couple local bars trying to click with locals and get someone to show me around but had no luck. I jumped on a lime scooter and checked out a few cool spots and that’s the same thing I plan to do tomorrow.
I guess my question is, what would you guys do in a situation like this? I enjoy being alone a good amount but four days in and I’m already starting to wish I had someone around to at least someone to hangout with and talk. Do you ever run into this problem? I see people travel alone and it’s like they just keep themselves so entertained they don’t run into this issue or they somehow make random friends and have a group to hangout with.
Any ideas?
