Bangladesh: Should I still go on this trip? Should I still go on this trip? - Bangladesh

Should I still go on this trip?

The only thing that's booked and non-refundable is about $300 in airfare. Hotel reservations can be cancelled 24 hours in advance so I still have until this weekend to decide.

My planned trip is just a short east coast jaunt, 2 days in DC, 4 days in NYC. I love NYC but haven't been in like 5 years so I figure it's time. Never been to DC either, so figured I'd stop by for a few days. I'm getting a bit antsy about the trip because I'm a bit afraid of the cold (because I plan to be walking outside a lot) and while the weather can't be predicted, I'm also afraid the weather will making walking outside for extended periods of time difficult.

I'm mostly concerned about my DC leg. I understand the museums are closed, which sucks, but my general plans were to just walk the national mall, maybe take a tour of the capitol and....yea see not sure what else here. This trip does revolve around my hotels, so I'm excited about the hotel I'd be staying at in DC (Eaton DC). But I'm worried I'll just be in my hotel room a lot after a frigid walk outside.

NYC, not worried about being bored in the least and I'm familiar with where I'm saying (downtown) where it's easy to walk everywhere. One of my old friends lives there, but the bummer is he'll be gone most of the time I'm there. Other than that, I'm only seeing a cousin and her family in Jersey.

So....should i just nix this trip and return at a later time when the weather is milder? I'm a northern california guy, so I'm sensitive to east coast cold. If it's in the 30s-40s, I can handle (I've lived in Seattle), but below that would make it pretty tough to do things like walk the national mall I'd imagine, especially at night, which is a time I'd like to see the monuments.
