Should I be staying in Belize for longer than 6 days?
Currently I have 6 days planned in Belize split evenly between Caye Caulker (arriving from Mexico) and San Ignacio (departing in to Guatemala) but since I am considering extending my stay by 10 days is it worth putting a few of those extra days in to Belize and maybe having 10 days all up and seeing anywhere else?
I was looking at Belize zoo which could be nice but I'm usually morally against zoos however this sounds more like a zoo for rescued animals and those that can't be released back in to the wild are kept on as opposed to the usual zoos.
I also was taking a look at Placencia but that's in the south when I need to get back to San Ignacio and since I am going to Caye Caulker it could be too much of the same thing.
Any recommendations on Belize or am I doing enough already?
