Questions about hostels, lockers, and safety.
I’m about to embark on my first solo trip and thought I’d ask for some advice from you seasoned solo travelers. I am going to be heading to Bali and Thailand for a month long trip. While I will be staying in nice hotels part of the time, I will be trying out my first hostels as well! As a female traveling alone, I plan on staying in mostly female-only dorms. I plan on bringing a front load backpack rather than a suitcase for obvious reasons. A few questions about that: 1. Do most hostels usually have enough locker space to store a medium-large backpack? Or should I consider trying to go as small as possible? 2. When you leave for the day, do you usually leave your pack in your locker and just bring a smaller bag? Or should I plan on bringing my pack everywhere with me? 3. What type of lock would you recommend? If you have any other safety tips please let me know! I’m very excited for my trip :)
