Just booked my flight for first solo trip to Colombia! - Excited and Nervous
Hello!
I [22M] have just booked my first truly solo trip to Colombia! I will be landing in Bogota pretty early at 4 in the morning next month. I plan to explore Bogota for a few days before moving onto Medellin. In Medellin I plan to spend 3 weeks learning Spanish taking weekend trips to places like Salento and Guatape. From there I plan to move to the Carrbean coastal area exploring Cartagena, Tayrona National Park, Santa Marta and Minca.
I plan to move onto Brazil either flying from somewhere or taking a river boat from Leticia to Manaus.
I'm really excited to be taking this trip being my first to South America! Also a bit nervous with the safety and language barrier. Overall I plan to spend a month and a half in Colombia. This will start off my 4-6 month trip in South America, something I've been planning ever since I graduated university and now that I have saved up the money I'm nervous to go!
Any advice on Colombia? Also will I need to book a return ticket as I have no idea what my plan is to leave Colombia?
Thank you to all in this community for giving me the courage to do something like this.
