Is it even possible to travel in the Scandinavian countries on a budget?
I'm looking for answers from someone who has traveled in the Scandinavian countries (Finland, Norway, Sweden) and can offer some advice on if it's even possible to travel around these countries/area on a smaller budget, say $1,500 or so for a month (assume airfare is paid). I know they are traditionally more expensive than traveling around Europe, and are not even comparable to traveling around Southeast Asia, South America or Africa.
Is it essentially equivalent to traveling around the USA on the cheap? It can be done, but takes a lot of planning and you'll be using the "sub par" or "Greyhound" services of those countries (totally fine, I just have no idea)?
Any info/experiences you can provide me with would be helpful.
