Is it bad that I'm still not over the death of Anthony Bourdain?
He just inspired me so much. He gave me the balls to travel by myself because if I waited for someone else it would never happen. I always tried to visit grungy hole in the wall places, or go where the locals eat. I visited Tokyo after his passing because I was looking for a new place to see and that was his favorite city. I remember walking around and it hit me and I couldn't hold back the tears that he took his life. I didn't even know the guy but he gave me so much inspiration, it feels like a peice of my soul died as well.
