I'll be going to Montana in a week or so, my first solo trip. As a Florida native I know I'm gonna be caught off guard by the cold (I think the temps are hovering under the 40s right now).

But my main things I'd like to do are hiking and maybe fishing, I just don't know how feasible that's going to be with the cold/snow. Has anyone here gone hiking in winter or anything?

I'm going to make it a goal to go to Glacier National, although I know not all the trails are accessible right now. Yellowstone is about 4 and half hours from where I'm staying (Missoula) but I'll probably make that trip as well.
