Well this isn’t exactly how I wanted my trip to go. Beware of motorbikes in Pai. The roads are shit and the bikes too. I’ll except full responsibility for my broken arm. The 4 people with bandages who walked by at breakfast should have been warning 1,2,3 & 4. But I thought I was above it. Considering I’ve owned a scooter in the past.

Now I write this from an ambulance on the ride to the Chiang Mai hospital. Thankful to be alive. Wishing I broke my arm closer to a major city. The ride is pure torture without a broken bone.

Has anyone had orthopedic surgery in Chiang Mai? Would love to hear of your experience. Of course travel insurance doesn’t cover motorbike related accidents.
