Sorry, if the title comes across as douchey, I wasn't exactly sure how to word it. I did the whole shoestring travel thing and enjoyed at the time. But I'm now blessed with a much larger travel budget than I've had in the past and I want a more upscale experience. I still want to meet cool people and create adventures but I do want nicer accommodation now and to meet people who are less smelly and can afford to go to nice restaurants with me among other pricier activities.

Private rooms in hostels are always an option but I didn't know if social hotels/resorts for the 20s/30s crowd are even a thing at all and if so how to find them.
