I was originally hoping to go overseas (I am already in the USA) but it looks like I'll be on a tight budget and that may not be possible.

I still really want to experience a new place and solo travel since all of my friends are not able or willing to go with me.

I am open to anything really... hiking, kayaking, city life, small city, national parks, amusement parks, museums...

So has anyone had a good solo travel experience in the USA or Canada for rather cheap?
