Against better judgment...
Solo travel is the best travel. We know this.
But what do you do when your brain malfunctions, your better judgment loses, and you find yourself about to head out on a trip with other people?
I'm about to leave on a month-long trip with a friend. This (gender-neutral pronoun-ed for anonymity) friend is well traveled, intelligent, and we seem to get along well. But they're also high strung, cause major problems when they've been drinking, and our sleep schedules don't match up at all. We're living in a tent together for the whole trip.
I got so caught up in the idea of traveling with a friend that I forgot I very much dislike extended amounts of time with anyone. It's too late to bail, and I'm not about to let my stress and frustrations ruin this trip for them. So, fellow (usually) solo travelers, any advice on how to stay sane when your travels aren't so solo?
