Advice for a SW United States road trip
Hey! I plan on going on a road trip through the SW during the second half of January for about 10 days to two weeks and I want someone to take a look at my itinerary. Also, any restaurant or site recommendations are welcome! And if you know of any native Americans things I should see that’d be great too.
I’m starting by driving from St. Louis, MO to Amarillo. From there I’m going to continue on to New Mexico where I wanna see Carlsbad and white sands. It’s cold out so rather than camping I plan on staying in maybe El Paso? Or maybe I’ll find somewhere in NM? After that, I’m going to continue on to Arizona to see Saguaro national park, Sedona, the petrified forest, and painted desert. Finally, I’ll make it to San Diego for a couple days.
After San Diego I wanna turn back and take a more northern route home so I can see Zion, Bryce, and grand staircase. In addition, I’d love to hit northern AZ to see the Grand Canyon, antelope canyon, and horseshoe bend.
I intend on staying pretty flexible throughout. Any thoughts?
