What do you enjoy as activities when traveling to metropolitan areas?
Only trip under my belt up until now was a trip to Kauai last summer. I was doing outdoorsy things nearly 99% of the time, either in the water or hiking up a mountain. Next Thanksgiving, I'll be in Colombia for 3 weeks... but I'm having trouble filling out my itinerary. I know there's a lot of nature that I'm planning to visit but I'm struggling to figure out what exactly i'll want to do in the various cities such as Bogota and Medellin. I enjoy cities because of the sense of life and action, but for 3-4 days, I'm not sure how to fill up my time.
I'm mostly curious about what to do during the day - do I just roam the streets, scoping out architecture and eating food? That sounds fun and all, but I need more, and can only appreciate so many churches, museums and governmental buildings.
Any suggestions for me?
