I'll be backpacking two months through southern Europe starting in Feb. I have a pair of running shoes but I'd like to bring a dressier/warmer pair that I could also use for hiking if possible.

Keen makes a nice leather waterproof boot.

Is this possible? A classic style, comfortable hiking, mid height boot/shoe? What have you found to be the all around best shoe for dual climate/multi use trip?

PS. My toes have terrible circulation and start to get numb in 45 degree weather within minutes. But they also sweat super easily. I haven't been able to find a good balance here. I wear smartwool (thin hiker) socks and have to rotate pairs frequently.
