Upcoming US West Coast road trip (30 days) - Any advice?
I'm planning a nature heavy road trip through the US west coast and I plotted all major areas of interest on this map.

So here's my strategy for this trip, and please advise if you think I can do better in any area:
- Doing this in May or June.
- Mostly sleeping in rented car (pitching a tent, when safe/possible).
- Moving through states at a relatively fast pace, except when at a truly remarkable site (e.g. Yosemite). In that case I would like to spend at least an entire day to see it both in the sunlight and under the stars.
- Keeping it extremely active. A lot of hiking to really get to the points that require effort but are just as rewarding.
- Not much about seeing any particular city. Really just about seeing natural sites.
Any tips?
- What are your favourite highways to take in these areas?
- If you could add or delete a point of interest, what would it be? (please leave a comment, thanks)
- I'm extremely worried about Nevada & the dry desert areas. Any particular safety tips?
Absolutely hate reptiles (rattlesnakes...) Reading up on these a lot myself.
About me:
- Male in mid 20s.
- Somewhat experienced in road trips (logged a 12,000 km giant in Argentina over the summer. Few 000 km in Morocco and a few 000 km before that in Canada).
Thanks guys. Looking forward to reading your responses!
