Itinerary help + other questions for Central Europe and Balkans
Hello, I have about 4-6 weeks that I can use to travel around this summer, starting around the beginning of June. I am an early 20s american guy traveling alone, and my 3 top priorities in travel are: Architecture & culture, good food, natural beauty. In foreign cities I prefer traveling by bicycle or walking around. I have a decent sized budget, and am hoping to use 3-4k after I purchase my flights.
My basic game plan at this point is:
Start in: Tallinn, Estonia
Krakow, and Warsaw, Poland
Prague, Czech Republic
Budapest, Hungary
End in: Bucharest, Romania
I plan on making day trips to other cities using the ones listed as a base camp. I have also heard that Vienna is amazing and I should go there rather than Prague/Budapest, but also that it is about twice as expensive to stay there. Do you guys think it is worth it to skip Prague/Buda for Vienna?
My other questions are: What are the best ways to get around in each of the aforementioned cities, and best way to travel from country to country? Of those countries/cities which do you think I should dedicate more or less time to? Also which are the most expensive/cheapest to stay in out of those countries?
Thank you so much for your help.
