Summer 2019 road trip planning
Hi y'all, like the title says, I'm in the infancy of planning a road trip next summer. I don't want to say that I have this romantic view of the west, but I hate New England. And Yellowstone seems cool af.
So Google Maps has 2 different routes (obviously, I am going to go on other highways and shit to sightsee, but basically adhere to Google's) and I'd take the one that goes through Nebraska, Iowa, etc, because I'm not trying to go through Chicago. What route is best? (Boston to Yellowstone)
My car, if I'm still in the same one next year, is a 2004 Honda Accord (manual) with like 138k, new clutch & tires, would probably make it. I think if I limited myself to a certain number of miles per day then it wouldn't shit itself. What spare parts, if any should I plan to bring? Should I sign up for AAA?
What does one need for a road trip of this caliber? I drove from central ma to emerald Isle, NC in like 7 hours and all I brought was a change of clothes. I've driven to D.C., to Philly, to DE like a dozen times and come back the same day. I've driven up from Orlando to MA and from NOLA to MA. I want to stay in Wyoming for at least a week or two, I'm not a planner in any sense of the word, but this is expensive (g a s) and tiring so I want to do it right.
