ROC to SD
Hey Reddit,
Will be taking my first ever road trip in a few weeks as I'm moving out to San Diego for college. Gonna take around 10 days and try to do some cool stuff on the way out there. The image I attached shows the route I have planned right now, including the 3 places I have family/friends to stay with. I'm planning on using the couch surfing app for a couple nights, stay in a few hotels/hostels, and maybe camp in a national park one night. Anyways, I'm looking for any and all suggestions based on the route shown. I really like hiking, and I'm also looking to pass through some of those classic "southern towns". You know the type where all the locals go to the same bar every friday night? Anyways, If anyone can think of any good ideas I would absolutely love the help. Or if you just have some general advice for a first timer (although I've already read through a lot of the main posts on this sub). Although I have my general route outlined, I could very easily alter it if some cool suggestions came up. Thank you!
