Back story - So a few friends and I were planning a short trip to Pittsburgh to catch up with other friends over the Memorial Day weekend. But it looks like one friend might back out leading to a domino effect of the whole plan collapsing. However I would hate to just sit around the whole weekend and started considering a solo trip - and so my first post in this group! I’m subscribed to this so you could say I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of exploring places (Europe’s my dream) on my own.

I’m looking for suggestions and thoughts on where I could go from Philadelphia and have a great solo experience. I have a rental car from Friday evening to Monday evening, and hopefully won’t bust wallet too much (~$200) , so that’s pretty much my limitations. I love unique places/experiences that will stick in my memory. I’ve already been to the shore, niagara (breathtaking) , DC, Shenandoah (loved it) just so y’all have an idea.

TL;DR - Memorial Day weekend plan with friends possibly collapsing, need suggestions for solo road trip.
