Planning my (first) solotravel, overwhelmed by all the options!
Hi all! To make a long story short, I really want to do a solotravel trip however I’m a bit lost by all the options. I do have the most important things, which are money and time but I find it hard to plan something. All the different options overwhelm me sometimes, even tho I did quit some research on most topics. These are some of the things I struggle with:
-Destination: I’m interested in traveling to somewhere in Asia, thats the only thing I'm sure of.
-Duration: I have all the time in the world, however I only had one solotrip (to Prague for 5 day’s) before. So, going for multiple months is a bit too much I think(?)
-Planning: Normally I plan everything into the smallest details, but I can flip my planning switch to off luckily. How much planning do you recommend for let say a month trip to Asia? Do I only plan the fights beforehand, or also some activities, hostels, trips etc?
-Clothes: I know too much and too less clothes are not ideal. How many clothes do you recommend bringing with me? And is pair of sneakers enough or are walking boots a must?
-Money: Is a Credit card a must? I currently only have a debit card…
Backpack: Sooo many options and so much opinions on what is a good backpack. I’m currently looking for 45-60 L backpack. Can I bring this as carry-on baggage on most flights? Also my back isn’t very strong, most backpack guides show some good backpacks for carry-on, hiking etc. but none really talks about the hip belt and how much it helps. Any recommendation?
Sorry for all the questions but I’m a bit overwhelmed, hopefully you can help me out š
