Need suggestions for a good US city to visit.
I'm planning on taking a month to get away from my regular social circle and distractions, get an AirBnB or hotel, and work on some self-improvement stuff. Specifically, I want to improve my skills in public speaking and presentation. For that, I'm looking for a good-sized US city that has multiple ToastMasters groups, voice coaches, and improv classes. I'm sure most major US cities will meet that criteria. But I'm also looking for someplace that will have nice weather from mid-June through mid-July and not be too expensive. I was initially considering Austin because it's a fantastic city, but the weather and cost seem high. Phoenix is cheaper, but much more expensive. Somewhere within 1,000 miles of DC would be ideal, since I could drive there, but I'm flexible with location.
Any suggestions? Staying in DC is an option, but I think that I'll have more success in diving into the various classes and programs if I don't have any other social distractions, which is why I'm thinking that someplace else may work better.
