Need advice on our 4000 mile roadtrip from Oklahoma to Alaska!

I am planning a road trip from OK to AK this summer, planning on buying a car in Oklahoma and driving up to Alaska by the time school starts at the University of Alaska to begin my third year. We have family and friends in each of the stops listed - Tulsa, OK - Wichita, KS - Denver, CO - Boise, ID - and we want to stop at Liard hotsprings!

I drove from Washington, DC to Fairbanks, AK last summer so I am familiar with long drives etc. I would greatly appreciate advice on highways, points of interest along the way, and any comments on this trip. Thank you!
