Is solo travelling always like this?
Today is my 4th day in Austria. I'm here for 3 weeks, and then 4 weeks in Hungary (with HelpX). It has been very boring and lonely so far. I keep thinking that I would have been happier if I just never left home. I didn't really have any expectations, but it's proving to be very underwhelming. I went into Vienna yesterday and saw all the sights, but nothing really amazed me, and I wouldn't say it was the experience of a lifetime. The town that I'm staying in has nothing to do, and the people that I'm staying with are either at work or in their rooms all day.
Is this what solo travelling is? I know I'm only four days in but I'm sort of regretting my choice to do this. Should I wait it out and hope the experience will improve? Should I go stay in other cities and experience more things while I'm here? Any input would be very much appreciated.
