Husband and Solo Travel

So. I started solo traveling kind of recently. We’ve had home stuff going on with our roommate and basically the TLDR is that I haven’t had a moment alone in almost three years. I said that out loud the other day and I almost cried.

So as a solution, I went on a trip alone.

And I loved it.

And I want to take more.

I’m talkative and gregarious and outgoing, I always make friends. I liked going at my own pace and figuring out how to have fun with myself again. I’ve been too wrapped up in other people and I’ve felt like I’m always waiting for someone else to entertain me. My solo travel trip showed me how much more I have to learn about myself and how excited I am to do it.

Here’s the problem: my husband struggles with anxiety and has a REALLY hard time with the idea of me going off on my own again.

Plus every single friend except maybe three assumed we were getting a divorce. Because I went away on vacation. For four days.

Does anybody have any advice on how to broach the subject with a VERY anxious husband? I liked the time to myself. I need that kind of disconnect and I never realized it until recently, but he is really, really unfavorable to the idea of me traveling solo ever again.
