How to deal with romance on the road
Hello r/solotravel. I’m currently in Sicily, having just arrived in the beautiful coastal town of san Vito Lo capo after 1 week spent in Palermo. While I was in Palermo I hit up tinder trying to meet some local guys to show me around. One guy super liked me on the app and we started messaging. On the first date, he took me bar hopping and showed me his favourite places in Palermo. The second date, 2 nights later, we went to a party together and 2 nights after that he invited me to his house for aperitivo. We ended up having an adult sleepover and spent the next morning together until I had to catch my bus for San Vito.
Now that I’ve left I’m feeling really bummed about the fact that I’ll probably never see him again. How do you deal with these fleeting and short lived romances? Its incredibly bittersweet, we had a great time together but at the same time it sucks knowing it will end so soon. Thanks in anticipation!
