Best time for a SEA trip
Hey r/solotravel! After reading posts from this sub for the past few months, I decided to take a one week solo travel vacation to Colombia which turned out perfectly. So, thanks for introducing me to this concept :).
That being said, I’m now inspired to do a three month SEA trip next year as my contract (broadway tour) comes to a close. I’m curious as to the best time to go.
I know shoulder season is late spring to early summer, but most countries experience some form of foul weather then. Is it worth braving the distant rain, or should I opt to go in the winter?
My contract ends in March/April, but I could easily find work to tide me over until the winter, so that’s not an issue.
Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!
