Accommodation for a 17 year old in Malta
Hi! I’m in a bit off a shitty situation. Basically, I have plane tickets for 11 days in Malta at the end of June and I was going to stay with a close friend & his father at their home. However, due to a recent change in their family’s situation, this option is no longer available to me.
I’m clueless as to what to do regarding accommodation. AirBnB has a minimum age at 18 (I thought about asking hosts directly but it seems sketchy), I haven’t found a hotel that allows anyone lower than 18 (admittedly I haven’t checked that many out yet) and my whole family will be on vacation in Iceland. There is a small chance that I will find an adult friend that will go with me but if not, is there anything I can do to go or am I out of luck? I’m not interested in any shared accommodation.
Edit: Forgot to include, I’m 17 and an EU citizen so entering Malta isn’t a problem.
