Need your help, guys! First time road trip driving from Monument Valley to Chicago. Route and stops?

So, as my title says. We are doing a road trip around the States. We started in Florida and have been fine organising it up to now but we are at a lost for the remaining. We are thinking what could be the best way from Monument Valley to Chicago.

I give you some details:

We have around a week/10 days to do it. Boyfriend is the only one driving so no super long distances every day Scenic as much as possible Budget friendly

Am I asking for too much?

If anyone could help I’d really appreciate it.

We are loving the trip as to now but think that we might be missing some nice spots to pass through as we are following Google Maps which is great in calculating distances and so buuuut not so good with nice places to see around...
