Hi all! I will try to keep this relatively short. So I'm 22, and I'm meeting my friend in Bangkok on the 28th. However, I'm flying in on the 21st to have a week to do my own thing (also cheap flights), and I'm looking for hostel recommendations. I'm young, I do like to party, but that's also not all I like to do. I've heard Khao San Road is kind of cool but also overrated, overpriced, and touristy. So where can I stay where I'll be able to go out and have fun, meet people, and also do things besides party? I like markets, temples, nature, really anything. I've also heard booking by a BST station is important.

Also what even is There to do in Bangkok? I'm a little intimidated by the sheer size of the city.
