Flying out for my first solo trip next month - 1 year of travel
Hi all,
31/M/ aspiring digital nomad from Ireland. Flying out to South America next month to begin a year long (or more if possible) round the world trip and cannot wait. First stop is Brazil working my way south of the continent and then back up to Peru where i'll fly out to Japan in October to begin a tour of Asia (Japan, China, Philippines, Indonesia + S.E.A).
I've done some travelling around Australia for about 2.5 years back in 2007/08/09 and done a brief spell living in Spain too but this is my first time heading to and backpacking around a destination where English wont be a commonly spoke language and also I'm going to be on my own.
Just wondering if people have any advice for a guy in his thirties heading off on this type of adventure as I remember from Australia the majority of travellers were much younger, not that age bothers me personally. I'll also be doing some work along the way as my line of work can all be done remotely so any tips for where to work and how to keep the discipline up to actually do the work would be much appreciated.
Also if any photographers/videographers/models etc that are travelling around at the same time feel like meeting up to explore and go shoot along the way feel free to get in touch as i'm hoping to get out with the camera as much as is safely possible. Or if anybody even wants to meet up for a beer that would be cool too :)
