We are planning to do a road trip down the west coast from BC potentially all the way to Cabo in the near future. Our hunt is on for the perfect budget camper van and we've come across a few mid 90's LPG powered Fords in our area.

The question is, have any of you done this journey with a purely LPG powered rig?

If so, how was it finding fueling stations along the way?

We really don't want to limit where we can go in case our plans change on the fly. However, we do like the slightly cleaner nature of propane and it appears the costs are roughly comparable to gas with the price/mileage associated with it.

Any insight, particularly first hand experiences are greatly appreciated!
