The Forests & Farmlands of South Africa
My girlfriend and I opted for a week out of the city and took a drive 3 hours east of Cape Town, to a small farming community which also happens to be the furthest westward point of the Knysna forest. The area is a collision of landscapes, completely different from each other. The nearest town is found 15 kilometers through winding gravel farm roads. It's an area of the country that often goes unexplored, but houses some of the most exciting adventures if one enjoys nature.
Our adventure included a lot of birding and photography. You can read more about the trip on my blog post: http://bryndekocks.com/blog/escape-hills-honeywood/
